Middle School Tutoring and Enrichment Requirements

 

Every week, throughout the school year, middle school students are expected to attend:

  • Their assigned days of tutoring (2 hours minimum)

  • 1 enrichment class

Middle School Service and Leadership Requirements

Before the end of the school year, all middle school students are required to complete:

  • 1 Saturday Camp (STEM, arts and culture, sports and recreation)

  • 2 Service Learning Workshops (offered once a month)

Why do we require service and leadership learning for middle school?
1. To encourage students to care for and engage with their communities

2. Help students learn new social, emotional, and leadership skills and build an excellent resume for applying colleges and scholarships

3. Provide students the chance of trying different interests and career paths

4. Help students connect with others, including their peers and with positive adult role models
